New Feisty course launch and other news
The Feisty marketing machine is roaring to life...hopefully....
Hi Feisties,
Ever feel like your year passes so quickly and suddenly it’s April and then it’s nearing the end of April?
Turns out that’s what happens when you write a book in addition to your regular feisty freelancing. It’s all been worthwhile though, as the manuscript is in and I’ve even had a chance to look at cover options and starting to create a marketing plan (check out www.instagram.com/feistyfreelancerbook - actually just bookmark for later as there are only a couple of starter posts so far).
Also I’m launching a new edition of the Feisty Freelancer Writing Intensive course on May 8, providing a friendly walk-through of how to set up your freelance writing business, pitch, and write your first assignment. The early bird rate is still available for another week at https://feistyfreelancer.com/course/ - while you’re there, why not sign up for my free Burning Questions session on May 1st to discuss any of your most pressing freelance questions? Ninety minutes on zoom, just connect for the link.
I thought I’d also share a neat article that I saw posted on LinkedIn this week about freelancing https://hbr.org/2024/05/highly-skilled-professionals-want-your-work-but-not-your-job?ab=HP-topics-text-6 - my favourite quote from it is “Freelancers tend to jump from one project to another. That’s essentially what we’re paying for—their accumulated experiences and the fresh external perspectives they bring.” Yes! I am often leaning on this breadth of knowledge when convincing new clients and it’s true - only the freelancer has seen the best and worst of how other organizations do things and can steer you in the best directions.
Anyway, speaking of other clients I’ve got a couple of new project quotes to send in so see you next time, and until then stay feisty….
Sue
